About Jessie
A grounded, compassionate presence for your healing journey
Hi, I’m Jessie Akos (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and integrative psychotherapist based in Colorado.
I don’t see therapy as a place where you are “fixed.” I see it as a place where you are met—especially in the places that feel unclear, tender, or hard to hold alone.
Often, the people I work with are not coming in because something is “wrong,” but because something in their life or inner world no longer fits the way it used to. Old ways of coping stop working. Roles start to feel too tight. There’s a quiet sense that something deeper is asking for attention.
My work is to stay with you in that in-between space—where things are not yet resolved, but are asking to be understood differently.
At the center of my approach is relationship: not just insight or technique, but the quality of presence we can build together over time. I bring clinical training, steadiness, and a grounded way of tracking what is happening emotionally and in the body, but just as importantly, I bring curiosity and respect for your lived experience as it is unfolding.
This work is often less about adding something new, and more about creating enough safety and attention for what is already true in you to come forward.
My approach
My practice is relational, body-aware, and trauma-informed. I draw from modalities like:
Somatic therapy – helping you tune into the body’s wisdom
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – building psychological flexibility and aligning you with your values
Mindfulness-Based Therapy- cultivating present-moment awareness and self compassion
Psychedelic integration – weaving insights from non-ordinary states into everyday life
I’m not a blank slate therapist. I show up with real presence, and I meet you where you are. Together we’ll move at your pace, gently working through what feels stuck so you can reconnect with your inner resilience and clarity.
Who I work with
My clients are deep thinkers, seekers, creatives, and caregivers. Many are navigating grief, burnout, relationship shifts, or questions of meaning. Some come after profound experiences with psychedelics and need support making sense of what’s opened up. Others are simply feeling disconnected and want to find their way back to themselves.
Whether you’re walking through loss, ready to shed old patterns, or just longing for more aliveness — therapy can help.

I know how hard it can be to reach out — and I honor your courage in beginning this search. If you’re curious about working together, I invite you to book a free 20-minute consultation. Let’s see if it feels like a fit.
